I'm not too good at this, considering what's happened recently, but here goes.
I was born in Los Alamos, NM, but me and my family moved to Kansas right away so I don't even remember that at all. My dad was a technological safety programmer for a Nuclear research facility, so he was always in there working with the computerized sensors that measured the amount of radioactivity and whatnot. I never really knew why we moved to Kansas so quickly until just recently.
We moved out to a farmstead my Grandfather owned, and I've been home-schooled my whole life so far, up until now. I never really knew why, either...but my parents always made me wear this green body suit, and kept adjusting it to fit me perfect as I got older. I just...accepted it as something special, really, cause all they'd ever tell me was "It’s not /funny/, Jamie, it’s /special/. A special suit for my special son." Or my dad’s response was always just as vague, "When you’re older. When you’re older I’ll tell you, and perhaps you’ll understand."
...well...then the storm hit. Hit the farmstead hard. To top it off, a twister landed too, and tore up our farm along with...well, us inside of it. My dad's last words were to contact Professor Charles Xavier, who I knew he'd talked with often, cause he wanted to be sure I was still in good hands.
So, I did, and here I am, at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, trying to get a bit more control and understanding over my ability...which is creating exact duplicates of myself whenever I get hit by something or, fall, or land against something. Everyone wishes they could be in two places at once but...man, is it ever unsettling that first time, if you're both in the same place at the same time.
